in 12 weeks.

Weekly 1-on-1 lessons. Built around you. Just the path to your first single.

Weeks 1–2

Discovery & First Sounds

We map your taste, your goals, your sound. You'll touch the piano from day one and learn the building blocks of how songs work.

Weeks 3–4

Piano Foundations

The essential chords, rhythms, and melodies behind every great song. You'll build the muscle memory and ear to start hearing music like a producer.

Weeks 5–6

From Idea To Loop

We work with a melody or chord progression you've come up with and build it into a loop with mood, groove, and direction.

Weeks 7–8

Into the DAW

Step into Ableton Live and learn the fundamentals of music production. You'll record, layer, and shape your idea into something that actually sounds like a track.

Weeks 9–10

Arrangement

Turn your loop into a full song with intro, verse, chorus, and outro. Learn how to keep a listener hooked from the first second to the last.

Weeks 11–12

Mix, Master, Release

Final mix, master, and cover art. Then we release your song to Spotify, Apple Music, and every major platform. You finish the program as a published artist.

Result: You're a released artist.

Then we go again, and your next song will be even better.

Meet Leo.

Music has been my life since I was 6 years old. I'm classically trained, but what I actually teach is bigger than piano. I teach people how to become artists.

I hold two Bachelor's degrees: one in Classical Piano and one in Music Industry. I'm a working musician who has played in bands, produced other artists, and released my own electronic music. I'm fluent in classical, pop, and electronic production including hyperpop.

I built First Note Music because I kept seeing the same thing: people who wanted more than a regular piano class. Adults with a creative goal they never chased. Parents who wanted something real to show for their kid's lessons. The missing piece was always the path from idea to finished release. So I built it.

HARPER LEAVE

Harper is a pop artist who came in wanting to take her music somewhere new. She had the songs, but wanted to move past acoustic and into something more electronic. She worked on her mixing, her production, and finding her sound. Leave is what came out of that.

L'MARCO BRING IT BACK - PT. 1

L'Marco came in as an R&B artist with a dancer's instinct for how music should move. He built the production himself and the result sits right between R&B feeling and electronic energy.

ZERE LET ME SHOW IT

Zere is an R&B singer who wanted to learn how to make her own beats and stop waiting on other producers. She brought the voice, the vibe, and the vision. Let Me Show It is the result. She also discovered that the studio makes pretty good content, so she kept coming back for both.

GAIUS TERRAN ROAD TO NOWHERE

Gaius came in with several songs already in progress and a clear creative vision. The goal was to finish them without losing what made them his. Road to Nowhere is one of those tracks, taken further than he imagined while staying exactly true to where he wanted to go.

ELENA SANTIAGO WHERE THE PLAIN ENDS

Elena is an intermediate pianist with a passion for film and cinematic music. She already had the feel, she just needed the tools to turn it into a finished track. Where the Plain Ends is her first original release and the start of the portfolio she is building.

ANDY B Fruit Punch

Andy B came to First Note at 10 with a love for Hip Hop and zero production experience. He started on piano, white keys only, found his sound, then moved to drums and 808s. Fruit Punch is proof that the fundamentals are all you need.

MICAH CHANG PINK SUMMER

Micah came to First Note at 11 with a love for K-pop and a head full of melodies. She started with the hook, then built every instrument around it. Pink Summer is her first production and she's already looking for a vocalist to jump on it.

Questions & answers.

Yes, that's a big part of what makes First Note Music Lab unique. The goal isn't just to learn music, it's to create it and share it with the world. You'll be guided through the full process from writing and producing your track to getting it live on streaming platforms.

Students aged 8 through adult. Yes, adults are absolutely welcome. Whether you're a kid starting from scratch or an adult chasing a creative goal you've put off for years, the curriculum adapts to your age, your experience level, and what you actually want to build.

None at all. Whether you've never played a note or you already have some musical background, you'll get a personalized learning experience that meets you where you are.

Music theory is the foundation that makes everything else click. It helps you understand why music sounds the way it does, write better songs, and communicate ideas clearly, whether you're at a piano or working in a DAW.

Sessions are available both in-studio and online. The studio is located in Mid-City, Los Angeles.

Reach out to book your first session. Whether your goal is to learn piano, understand music theory, produce your own tracks, or release your first song. First Note Music Lab will get you there.

For students under 18, releasing music requires a parent or guardian on the account. If that feels complicated, don't worry. I handle the full release process under the First Note Music label. Your child's song goes live on Spotify, Apple Music, and everywhere else, credited to them. If down the road they want their own artist profile and distributor account, I'll help set that up too. Either way, the music gets out.
